"Propulsion performance of launch vehicles State of the Art & Prospect"
To build a coherent panel of recommendations for future expandable launchers by taking inventory of existing and future concepts on the launcher global performances (as viewed from the customer). Three student team reports were made based on three different directions of development: Ariane 5 evolutions in classical propulsive concepts, evolutions towards launchers adapted to light payloads, and unconventional solutions for future transportation systems. The results were evaluated and most appreciated by a panel of European eminent experts in the field of launchers and space applications.
