Panel Discussion organised by the Bremen Presidency confirms the political and strategic importance of space :

“Space for Cities – Space for Citizens”: that was the theme of the Panel Discussion organised by the CVA 2012 Presidency on 9 October to coincide with the Council of Mayors of the Community of Ariane Cities (CVA). The event took place in the Upper Chamber of the magnificent Bremen Town Hall, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The proceedings were moderated by presenter Rommy Arndt of the German TV news channel n-tv. Jens Böhrnsen, Mayor and President of the Senate ot the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, 2012 CVA President, set things in context by pointing to the political and strategic perspective targeted right from the start of the year by the City of Bremen and by Astrium Bremen, its industrial partner within the CVA. Distinguished figures representing the world of space both in Germany and from Europe more broadly were present to follow what was said.
